Soap & Glory - The Soapremes

So, I awoke on Christmas morning to this little beauty...

misswrighty85

For me, this is one of my favourite gifts to receive at Christmas. Whilst the products are not overly expensive, for some reason I never seem to indulge in these beauty products at any time of the year other than when I receive them as a gift at Christmas time. And what a treat they are! I could not wait for Boxing Day to have a lovely relaxing day, have my Soap and Glory shower and put my new Christmas jarmies on and slob out watching Christmas films and stuff my face with junk food - typical Bridget Jones style. Except with a boyfriend I am not quite a Bridget Jones, but you get the gist!

Inside this The Soapremes gift box comes the CLEAN ON ME Creamy Moisture Shower Gel 500ml, THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER Body Butter 200ml, THE SCRUB OF YOUR LIFE Body Scrub 200ml, HAND FOOD Hand Cream 50ml, HEEL GENIUS Foot Cream 50ml, A suds-boosting BODY POLISHER and a pair of cosy socks.

What can I say, every single product is amazing! They smell gorgeous, leaving a lovely lasting scent on your body and are such good quality products that a little really does go a long way meaning that they last so much longer than other beauty products.

The hand cream is one of my faves and something that I love to keep on my desk at work for use throughout the day. For some reason, I have developed this habit of sitting on the phone talking to someone whilst applying my hand cream. This tends to happen repeatedly around five or six times a day. I often wonder, is this just me or any woman sat at a desk all day?

I can safely say that I am thrilled to bits with this gift. I noticed today whilst browsing online that it is also reduced now at Boots to £10 from £20 (Not that I was looking at the price of my gifts - I just happened to notice!). If these are still around come payday I may well be stocking up on a few for next Christmas. Who am I kidding - I mean for myself. This would never be around until next Christmas; I love Soap and Glory too much!

Slow Cooking

A few weeks back my Mum gave me a slow cooker; I was full of optimism and could not wait to give it a go. See, the thing, is, in truth now I actually think about it, I am a little apprehensive of giving it a go! Why I hear you ask?
Well...

I used a slow cooker once many years ago and in complete honesty it was a disaster! I decided to make lamb stew, followed all of the instructions correctly - add the correct amount of water, meat, veg, etc. I sat in work all day looking forward to getting home from work to a lovely hot meal with minimal effort. I walked in from work, could smell the stew bubbling away and thought "Yum" I can't wait for this! My excitement soon lead to disappointment when I discovered that the contents of the slow cooker were all stuck to the bottom of the ceramic dish and it was not edible!

Since then I have been wary of trying it again - more so because I do not want to spend money on meat and veg for it to be a disaster again.

I know I need to and will try it again at some point, as after all a slow cooker is so practical for when you are out at work doing the usual 9-5 Monday to Friday. Does anybody have any tips or any ideas on how to stop this culinary disaster from reoccurring? Was it just my slow cooker because it was only a cheap one? A friend of mine recently purchased the Morphy Richards Sear and Stew Slow Cooker and swears by it. I see it has been reduced to £35 so I am debating making this purchase.

Answers on a postcard (or a comment below) please...

JML Compact LED Light Up Mirror & Tweezer Set

There isn't much more I can say about the JML Compact LED Light Up Mirror & Tweezer Set but WOW! I LOVE this product!

I was at my Nan's on Christmas Day when my Auntie arrived and gave me my Christmas present. I was surprised to open the JML Compact LED Light Up Mirror & Tweezer Set, as I had never seen it advertised before. I was later informed by my Mum, who also got one of these little beauties as a gift that these have infact been advertised on TV, I must have missed it or I would have purchased one long before now!

All of us girls know that there is no worse task in the world of beautifying ourselves than the dreaded plucking of eyebrows! For me, it always feels a chore and I huff and puff every time the task comes around. I try to put it off for as long as possible, which infact only makes the task even more daunting! I can quite honestly say that the JML Compact LED Light Up Mirror & Tweezer Set has for the first time in my life made eyebrow plucking a much more pleasant experience! No more sitting with the mirror trying to catch the right angle of light, the light up LED mirrors are perfect for avoiding that!

Whilst only small, the tweezers are actually brilliant! I have tried so many pairs of tweezers over the months trying to find the right pair after losing my beloved ones I’d had for years, and now my search is over!

I believe that the retail price of the JML Compact LED Light Up Mirror & Tweezer Set is £9.99, which is an absolute bargain in my opinion. They are prefect for any woman’s handbag as they are small and compact. They can be purchased in various stores, on the JML website and via other online retailers. Listen up girls; I can assure you that this will be the best £9.99 that you ever spend! I shall certainly be recommending them to all of my friends and family. I may even stock up on a few for birthday gifts throughout the year.

Thanks JML for saving me from eyebrow plucking hell!

Hello, Welcome, This Is A Little About Me, The First Post Of Many...

So, here goes. The start of my New Year's resolution has finally become a "Work In Progress". My 2015 New Years resolution is to create my own blog. Right now, I will be completely honest - I have not got the slightest clue what I am doing, but, I WILL learn and hopefully this time next year I will have a fully up and running blog with maybe even a few new friends along the way!

Why do I want to write a blog I hear you ask? Well, in complete honesty, I feel like I am missing out on the blogging world! Many of my friends blog on a regular basis and are always talking about their blog along with their virtual friends blogs, and I thought that it was time to get in on the act so to speak and create my own!

Who is this person and what is she all about I hear you asking!

Well, I am Steph, I am 29 years old, I live on the Wirral and I work in Business Development for a company in the construction industry. I have recently moved into a lovely, newly renovated block of flats with the most amazing views! I am sure that you will see some pictures as my blog progresses. I love anything pink, glittery and girly! I am very girly-girly.

Wondering who I am, well, this is me....

My passion is make up. I am a fully qualified Level 3 make up artist and love nothing more than spending my spare time playing around with make up, trying new looks and testing new products. I will be sure to share my findings with all of you lovely people as I go along.

My boyfriend recently bought me a fish tank for our first anniversary. Okay, most girls would get flowers, perfume or chocolates off their man, not me, I got a fish tank. And do you know what? I was completely over the moon! For many years I have wanted to have a fish tank full of beautiful fish of all types, so here I am as a beginner looking to learn more and develop my tank. My long terms goal is to have a marine tank, but we all have to start somewhere and I need to build my knowledge before I get into that. I would love to have lots of little "Nemo" fish in my tank one day.

So, as my first post comes to a close (Not all that interesting I know, but we all have to start somewhere), I bid you farewell and will continue to write about my daily going's-on on a regular basis.
